 Just three hours north of Sydney and 40 miles south of Forster on the mid north coast of new Sotuth Wales is unique Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse lies perched above the tiny, sleepy fishing village of Seal Rocks and nestled in the northern corner of Myall Lakes National Park. This idyllic area offers expansive vistas of the coastline from Crowdy Head in the north to Port Stephens in the south. Its secluded location is full of pristine beaches, azure seas, protected marine wildlife environments, wondrous rockpools, a mythological blowhole, breathtaking rainforest and coastal walks. Surrounding this isolated paradise of Sugarloaf Point are the popular tourist areas of Pacific Palms and Myall Lakes complete with nearby facilities. 

The Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse precinct offers quaint newly restored and beautifully appointed heritage cottages, nestled on the hill below the lightstation. Built in 1875, they offer old world charm with modern conveniences. Each has an abundance of outdoor space in which to enjoy the breathtaking panoramas. These self-contained cottages comprise, one 3 bedroom cottage and two 2 bedroom cottages.

The immediate vicinity of Seal Rocks offers clear bays for swimming, snorkelling, boating and fishing. Here you can experience memorable diving to local shipwrecks and grey nurse habitats. To the south of the lighthouse, you'll find great surf at Lighthouse Beach and from the point, you will be perfectly positioned to watch dolphins surfing the waves and migrating humpback whales. The coastal dunes offer bushwalking, birdwatching, rivers and lagoons, as well as historic aboriginal and early settlers' sites.
