Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Melbourne where you’ll have time to enjoy the best sights in the city before picking up your hire car and drive through some of the world’s most breath-taking coastal scenery.
On the way you’ll encounter beautiful beaches, impressive national park and dramatic mountains, all with a backdrop of the ocean. You'll visiting the intriguing and unique Kangaroo Island before finishing your trip in the cultured city of Adelaide. Here you’ll spend two nights with plenty of time to experience the best of one of Australia’s most culturally diverse places.

Days 1-3
Melbourne
On arrival in Melbourne you’ll be transferred to the Radisson on Flagstaff hotel. You’ll spend 3 nights here exploring the best sights the city has to offer.

Day 4
Melbourne to Apollo Bay (189km)
Collect your car and drive along the Princes Highway to Geelong, a charming port city. Afterwards you’ll continue on to Torquay, a lively city recognised as the surfing capital of Australia and the gateway to the iconic Great Ocean Road. Move on to the famous Bells Beach or the cascading Erskine Falls before following the scenic road from Lorne to Apollo Bay, a pretty coastal town.
Day 5
Port Fairy (188km)
Today you will drive along to Port Fairy, a charming fishing village abundant in rich history and heritage, and renowned for its beautiful nineteenth century cottages, historic churches and brilliant local art scene. To get there, you'll drive along the jaw dropping Great Ocean Road to Port Campbell, passing the soaring Twelve Apostles that jut out of the Southern Ocean and discovering the London Bridge.
Day 6
Robe (303km or via the Gramplans 520km)
There are two routes to choose from on day three. There’s a short route that stops at Portland, Cape Nelson and Mount Gambier before moving on to Robe, or you can travel via Penhurst to Dunkeld. The latter route travels through the Grampians National Park and onto Halls Gap, both full of interesting attractions including McKenzie Falls, Reids Lookout, and the Balconies. Robe is a gorgeous coastal town full of pretty lakes, fishing fleets, and historical architecture.
Day 7
Victor Harbour (329km)
Depart Robe and drive along the coast to Coorong National Park, journeying past the sparkling Lake Alexandria and Lake Albert. After witnessing the lakes’ unspoilt beauty, continue towards the Fleurieu Peninsula before arriving at Victor Harbour, a gorgeous seaside town. Once you’ve arrived, walk across the Causeway or take a horse drawn tram to explore Granite Island.
Day 8-9
Kangaroo Island (62km to Cape Jervis)
On day 5 you’ll head to Cape Jervis for the passenger and vehicle ferry to Kangaroo Island. The next two days are free for you to explore this spectacular wilderness and spot the incredible wildlife that live here, including kangaroos, koalas and sea lions basking in the sun. Visit natural attractions including the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Flinders Chase National Park and Kelly Hill Caves, or join in on a Koala Walk at Seal Bay.
Day 10-11
Adelaide (107km from Cape Jervis)
In the morning you will take the ferry back to Cape Jervis and travel to Adelaide for the final portion of your journey, stopping en-route in the Adelaide Hills which is well-known for its vast array of fresh produce and award-winning local restaurants. Visit the German heritage towns of Hahndorf and Loebthal where you’ll find antique shops, galleries and bakeries to explore. Upon arrival into Adelaide, you will drop your hire car back to the depot and spend the next couple of days at leisure visiting the parks, witnessing the beautiful architecture and relaxing in one of the many cafés or bars.

Depart from Adelaide
Today you’ll transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
