This 18-day escorted tour of Australia really shows off the best of the country. Today you’ll arrive in Perth airport where you’ll transfer to the port-side city of Fremantle. Take some time at your hotel to relax before enjoying a Welcome Reception where you’ll get the chance to meet your tour guide and group. Enjoy an evening of leisure to explore the local dining scene.
Overnight: Peppers Kings Square Perth
After breakfast you’ll take a coach into Perth, the capital of Western Australia. Here you’ll take a wonderful guided sightseeing tour taking in the many highlights that the city has to offer. You’ll visit the pretty Botanic Gardens and walk around stunning Kings Park - overlooking the city, before returning to Fremantle on a leisurely cruise along the wonderful Swan River. This lively city is famous for its wonderfully idyllic beaches, as well as its well-preserved colonial architecture. Later, cruise along the Swan River, then enjoy a delicious Welcome Dinner later this evening, which provides an excellent opportunity to meet your Tour Director and get to know your fellow travellers

Today is a free day to explore Fremantle. Known as Freo to locals, Fremantle is a coastal city with a port and plenty of interesting attractions. Explore the architecture of the town and go shopping at the market. Alternatively, you can choose to go on optional excursions including visits to the Swan Valley Wine Region, spend the day on the beautiful Rottnest Island, explore Margaret River Region or the Pinnacles Desert.

Today you’ll leave Fremantle after breakfast and transfer back to Perth airport for a flight to the red heart of Australia, Alice Springs. Nestled between the MacDonnell Ranges, this iconic Outback town is the geographical centre of Australia, famous for its rich pioneering history and enchanting ancient indigenous culture. Over these two day you’ll explore the Australian outback and the area surrounding the town. You’ll have the option to take a sunrise hot-air balloon flight (own expense) this morning before joining the group and enjoying the panoramic views of the town and surrounding MacDonnell Ranges from the top of Anzac Hill. At sunset, you may like to take a memorable camel ride - truly wonderful experience (own expense).
Overnight: two nights at Mercure Alice Springs Resort (Two breakfasts included)
Uluru, Ayers Rock & Kata Tjuta
Today you’ll take advantage of Alice Springs’ proximity to one of Australia’s most iconic sights. You’ll travel through the rugged landscapes to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, enjoying the ochre desert scenery before reaching the impressive rock domes and peaks of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and walk to Walpa Gorge. Tonight watch the sun set over Uluru whule enjoying some wine and after opt to join a unique experience - dine on Australian fare whilst seated under the desert stars (own expense).

Cairns & Great Barrier Reef
After rising early to take in the sunrise over Uluru you’ll take a guided tour around the base of this famous monolith, viewing ancient caves and impressive rock art sites. Enjoy the dramatic change of scenery as you fly from the Red Centre to the sparkling blue waters and lush green rainforests of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland.
During your stay you’ll spend a day exploring the Great Barrier Reef on a fast Catamaran cruise to the Reef Magic's exclusive activity platform from here you will spend the next few hours experiencing the beautifully coloured coral and marine life - snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon, walk through the underwater observatory or you have the chance to take a glass-bottom boat ride or just relax on the sun-deck admiring the stunning surroundings.

Port Douglas & Daintree National Park
Drive North this morning up to Port Douglas - this patch of paradise is the meeting point of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef - popular holiday location. Relax in the open spaces and lush gardens of Peppers Beach club. Spend the day relaxing. Perhaps, explore Cape Tribulation in the Daintree National Park, home to the world's oldest living rainforest, or ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in Kuranda (both own expense).
Overnight: Port Douglas, Peppers Beach Club (Two breakfasts)
On day 11 you’ll take a flight down to the wonderful city of Melbourne, undoubtedly one Australia’s finest. Here you’ll spend three nights with plenty of time to take in all of the amazing sights, sounds and tastes on offer. You'll go on a sightseeing tour to some of the most remarkable places, then venture out to the Yarra Valley wine region where lunch awaits and the vine-covered countryside. Return to the city by evening to enjoy a wander at night around the local restaurants and bars.
With a full day of leisure, opt to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens, Federation Square and Cook’s Cottage. You’ll also have the chance to go on optional excursions to Phillip Island to witness the Penguin Parade, or a cruise on the Yarra River.
Overnight: three nights in Pullman Melbourne on the Park (Three breakfasts and one lunch included)
On day 14 you’ll fly to Sydney for the final leg of your tour. Staying here for four nights you’ll have plenty of leisure time to really get to know the city, taking in the most incredible sights including the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Begin with a guided tour then step inside the Sydney Opera House for a tour of this world-renowned theatre.
With two full days at leisure you’ll have the option to visit the nearby Blue Mountains National Park, explore vineyards, traverse the Hunter Valley, enjoy a bird-eyes view of Sydney's coast aboard a seaplane, climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge or just spend more time in this encapsulating city. On your final evening here enjoy a farewell drink and dinner to say goodbye to your new found friends here.
